Chef Lalanne and Josh share their Labor Day Weekend recipes - fried chicken, shish kabobs, risotto... We also find out about the Brule Gun Show going on this coming weekend.
Chef Lalanne and Josh discuss what they each prepared over the Labor Day Weekend. Chef Lalanne's lineup was a unique take on fried chicken. He brined some chicken over a day, then soaked the chicken in buttermilk, then breaded the chicken and deep fried it in a turkey fryer. Josh's lineup was beef, pancetta-wrapped shrimp and vegetable shish-kabobs over a bed of cilantro jalapeño risotto. The guys talked about those and other recipes.
Josh is also joined by Denise Moorehead who talks about the upcoming Brule Gun Show. It's being held Saturday and Sunday, September 10th and 11th, at the Brule Activities Center on the north side of Brule. Doors open at 9am each day. There will be plenty of guns and ammunition, but there will also be tons of other items - coins, foods, crafts, possibly some jewelry, furs, and lots more. There will be fresh food there as well - catfish, enchiladas, prime rib sandwiches, brats, burgers, and more. Two full days, 115 vendors. And there will be a raffle for a gun of your choice.
