Veterans have joined Governor Heineman in supporting the elimination of the state income tax.
During a news conference at the Capitol just hours before legislative hearings on the proposal, the Nebraska VFW threw its support to Heineman's tax plan.

The governor proposes offsetting the loss of revenue from the elimination of the state individual and corporate income tax by eliminating 2-point-4(B)Billion dollars in sales tax exemptions.


The Nebraska Veterans of Foreign Wars has endorsed Governor Heineman's proposal to do away with the state income tax.
