Nebraska health officials are urging problem gamblers to seek help in anticipation of the NFL Super Bowl next Sunday

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska health officials are urging problem gamblers to seek help in anticipation of the NFL Super Bowl next Sunday.

Officials with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services say problem gamblers can call a free, confidential hotline at 1-800-426-2537.

Scot Adams, the state's behavioral services director, says problem gamblers may bet more than they can afford, lie about money and time spent gambling, and chase their losses.

The state also offers a website to help residents who may have a gambling problem.
