Many Nebraskans who made a New Year's resolution to lose weight have already fallen off the wagon. Dr. Brian Wansink (WON-sink) is a nutrition expert and suggests making small changes one at a time instead of wanting to drop 10 pounds immediately. He says most of us are creatures of habit so if we exercise daily it becomes routine.

Dr. Wansink says when it comes to limiting food one of the easiest things is to get the junk food off the counter and replace it with healthy choices like fruit.

Wansink; "would not gain."
Dr. Wansink says the old saying holds true that if you repeat a good habit for about 25 days it becomes the norm. That holds true for not only food choices but for exercise as well.
Small but consistent changes in eating habits will help dieters win the race.
