Weld Central High School in Weld County has closed early after an anonymous caller said he was going to bomb the school
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Weld Central High School in Weld County has closed early after an anonymous caller said he was going to bomb the school.
Sheriff's officials say the call appears to be a hoax by a 16-year-old student and that school staff closed the school Friday afternoon due to the threat as well as wintry weather.
Meanwhile Niwot High School in Boulder County was closed Friday as authorities investigate a threat found scrawled in a bathroom earlier this week and a threatening note with students' names that was found Thursday.
In Colorado Springs, police notified school security officers throughout the city Thursday of a report of an alleged threat someone made referring to the school shooting in Newtown, Conn. Police said no specific Colorado Springs school was mentioned.
