A Fremont woman accused of serving alcohol to two underage friends later involved in a fatal crash will stand trial on a felony charge
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - A Fremont woman accused of serving alcohol to two underage friends later involved in a fatal crash will stand trial on a felony charge.
Omaha television station KETV reports (http://bit.ly/UqRuoJ) that Amanda Heiman's preliminary hearing was held in Douglas County Court on Friday. She was bound over to district court for trial on a charge of procuring alcohol for a minor resulting in death.
Prosecutors say Heiman was working as a waitress at a Waterloo bar and grill when she served alcohol on Dec. 3 to 20-year-old Jacob Dickmeyer, of Valley, and another underage friend. Prosecutors say Heiman knew the men were not legally old enough to drink.
Dickmeyer died later that night when the car he was driving rolled. His passenger was injured.
