Secretary Vilsack says once the green light is given they will burn the midnight oil to get the bill done before the upcoming growing season.
If Congress comes up with a plan to avoid the fall off the "fiscal cliff" U-S Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack wants a Farm Bill drafted so it can be attached to the agreement. He says it will take work to get a new Farm Bill ready for the upcoming season.

Vilsack says the worst case scenario is if there is no fiscal cliff agreement. If that happens every agency will be forced to take a cut and that includes every USDA program. Vilsack says that would be a disaster.
