LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A man who skipped town before his 2009 sentencing for a Lincoln arson has been given five to eight years in prison.

The Lincoln Journal Star reports (http://bit.ly/Pu0WWf) that 32-year-old Brad Cox was sentenced on Tuesday.

He'd pleaded no contest in 2008 to setting fire to his Lincoln rental home in April 2003. But court records say Cox left Lincoln before his sentencing date.

Court records also say Cox faces charges in a 2008 arson case in Omaha.

Cox had been using a different name while running a California bookstore when he was arrested for drunken driving in June. Authorities learned his real name and sent him back to Nebraska.
